A group of brave comics – Arab, Jewish, Muslim, Israeli, Palestinian, and others – will tour Israel and Palestine for a series of standup comedy performances and workshops. This tour will demonstrate: “If we can laugh together, we can live together^TM.”

The Comedy for Peace^TM performances will take place over roughly ten days on both sides of the conflict, with a mixed group of performers in all locations. This could happen in conjunction with the TV show or at a later date.

There will be both large and small performances as well as comedy workshops. We will not shy away from difficult areas but take comedians into the heart of the conflict: the checkpoints; meetings with victims of violence from both sides; meetings with politicians on both sides; performances for military audiences; for Israeli settlement communities; for radicalized Palestinian towns. There will be two large performances with mixed audiences, both in Jerusalem: a performance for kids, organized by Seeds of Peace and a final command performance for a mixed audience of Palestinian and Israeli officials will be organized by the US Consulate in Jerusalem. If possible, a third mixed performance will be held at the Beit Hagefen Arab-Israeli Theatre in Haifa. .
